PHOTOS
'My mountain' seen from my office window, reappeared this morning, all blanketed in white
This tree could have been one that decorates Christmas cakes, but it is life-size
The street this morning after the snow plough had been through
Proof of what my son and friends get up to on the slopes, using my camera!
My son's autoportrait taken with PhotoBooth on the new Mac - although this must be a photo of the image on the screen. It reminds me of the posters that were in the Beatles album. Was it Sgt. Pepper's? Only my lad is far more gorgeous that the four Beatles put together!
And finally, three more photos taken by Pierre

How beautiful to view the mountains.
The flying skier is a marvel to your blog.
Wonderful pictures, Louise.
Well done, on every score.
Gorgeous! Everything is gorgeous...your mountain, your tree, your street...your son!
Hear, hear. I'm impressed, too, by the abilities of both the skier and photographer.
You see, Gigi, snow can be nice when there is lots of it!
My mountain has now disappeared as the snow starts falling again, and which will soon cover up my drive, reducing all my snow shovelling of this morning to nothing! Still, I suppose it keeps the figure in shape!
The boys were off on the slopes last weekend, making a film. The lad on skis is 15 and is trying to get sponsorship, so they have got to make a DVD. Tomorrow afternoon the chalet will be overrun by the gang as they edit their film - they filmed with three cameras and my stills camera
I am thinking of going out in fact for the afternoon! Otherwise it will b cries of 'Mum, where's the USB cable?', 'Where are there any new DVDs?', 'I need to buy such and such a song off iTunes to go with this two second clip' - and then getting generally unpleasant when the soundtrack doesn't correspond with the film.
What makes you think that Pierre has made films before?!
The afternoon accompanied by large doses of Coke, hot chocolat and Nutella...did I say we lived in a healthy household? Well, it was a lie...
I might add a couple more of the boys' photos.
Up in the mountains, en Suisse, if you please.
A new specie of bird, flys overhead with ease.
Special feathers they grow, ski poles, if you know.
Long 5' feet for landing in snow.
These birds with their laughter, toques on their head.
Give delight to us mortal, shoelaced treads.
Lovely photos!!
By the way, the ResidentAdo told me that her boyfriend's family always go to some small island in the Med where they've been going since Time Began, so that doesn't really get you too far, does it?
Good morning (afternoon), Louise. Dribble.
And dribble to you too, Bill! Hope you have a dribbly day!
I forgot to mention, Bill. I got my first two books from Alibris yesterday. The Lovely Bones and Three Men in a Boat (to say nothing of the Dog). The latter I haven't read in years, and I'm following your tip for The Lovely Bones...
Three Men in a Boat is a lovely book. I must go back and read it myself. When you're through those two, I have another that might appeal to you -- "Beyond Black" by Hilary Mantel; funny and eerie by turns.
Fantastic photos, all of them! Totally gorgeous :-)
