TWO PHOTOS

A photo taken from my office/dining room window a couple of days ago - today however we can't see the mountains and there is a definite lack of blue sky! The second is of course of my friend Angus taken this morning!

I am just commenting on my own post! I managed to download with no problem - I wonder if when I have tried to post photos the site has been too busy? I downloaded them in the order of my comment but they came out inversed...va savoir pourquoi!

That's Blogger for you, Louise. The word "debug" is simply not in their vocabulary.

If you want the pictures the other way round, there's a simple solution. Go to Edit, click on the top photo. You'll see a little frame with bubbles. You can then drag it to where you want. Look for the envelope symbol. It acts as a kind of place marker.

Don't forget I have zapped Beta so the editing is virtually non existent - anyway the photos appeared so we are off later to see if the "jib night" has anything interesting to photograph!

One can still move photos around in ordinary Blogger, Louise.

But I for one have no objection to having Angus as topdog, whatever the text may say.

Still got a job Bill?

When I post a comment it goes through one the first try...

I'll post a couple of photos later that I took in the village earlier, but the snow hasn't really let up and it's been pretty gloomy all day.

We too have have problems here through lack of snow - it was just too warm. But we have had 70cm in the last 24hours and it's still coming down - most of Switzerland and the French Alps have had snow in the last day or two so all of you out there worrying about your Christmas holidays on the slopes - it's okay!!

It looks beautiful . Almost tempts me to go skiing this year. The lunches in the little chalet restaurants, trains up the mountains, skiing back to the hôtel. Mulled wine. Hurling, skating. But no I won't, I don't want to break anything. Perhaps a weekend in the Auvergne in Feb.

It is beautiful. But the Auvergne is beautiful also - and if they have as much snow as last year, the skiing isn't bad - the cross country skiing is great there.

The only thing that is missing is the mountain restaurants in the Auvergne.

I don't ski any more - it was never my most favourite sport and as major shareholder of the family, I can't afford to be out of action!

That's an incredible, fantastic view, Louise. Who needs calendars?

And the one of the mountains isn't bad, either ...
